Tilt or touch? Picking the right control scheme
Most racing and arcade games ship with a default control scheme and quietly hope you never touch it. That default is often tilt steering, and it's not always the right call.
Tilt feels great when you're relaxed on a sofa with room to move the phone. It falls apart the moment you're standing on a train or lying in bed at an odd angle. Touch controls stay consistent no matter your posture.
My general advice: try both in the first ten minutes of any new game. Run the same corner twice, once with each scheme, and see which one lets you place the car where you actually meant to.
There's no universal winner. Pixel Pit Crew and Neon Drift Legends both felt better to me on touch, while a couple of others clicked with tilt. The point is to choose deliberately instead of playing the whole game slightly annoyed.
