About
Pocket Laps started as a group chat where a few friends kept swapping screenshots of games we couldn't stop playing on the bus. At some point we realized we were writing better notes than half the store descriptions, so we turned it into a small site.
We focus on games that feel good in short bursts: racers, arcade throwbacks, tiny adventures, quick strategy sessions. If a game asks for forty minutes just to load its first menu, it probably won't make it here.
Every title on the site gets actually played. We don't score a game after five minutes; we sit with it for a few evenings, check how it runs on older hardware, and note when the controls fight your fingers. If we didn't like something, we say so plainly.
The goal is simple. Help you find a good game for the ten minutes you have right now, and skip the ones that waste your battery.
