Cosy mobile games for when you need to slow down

Some evenings I don't want a challenge, I want a game that lets my shoulders drop. Cosy mobile games are their own little genre now, and phones are honestly the perfect home for them.

Lantern Hollow is my current favourite of the bunch. It's an adventure with no fail state, gentle puzzles, and a soundtrack that could put a toddler to sleep in the best way. You explore because you're curious, not because a clock is ticking.

The trick with cosy games is finding ones that don't secretly nag you with notifications and energy timers. A truly relaxing game respects that you'll come and go as you please.

If you've had a long week, load one of these, dim the screen a little, and just wander. It's a surprisingly good way to reset.
